SHS is seeking a Director of Nursing for a Skilled Healthcare Center sitting on a non profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in greater Baltimore. This center that sits on a beautiful campus has history of Excellent Department of Health Survey Results and holds 5 Star QM’s. The campus is affiliated with non profit organization that is dedicated to the highest quality of care.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in the Health Center. He/she is responsible for the selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nursing related Health Center personnel. He/she is responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment and operating within the departmental budget. He/she must have five (5) or more years applicable experience, including increasing supervisory responsibilities. Minimum of two years nursing administration experience, preferably in a long term care setting.

Establish standards and procedures for the Health Center to ensure safe operations and high quality service, while complying with all federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations. Develop and maintain standards of nursing practice and nursing objectives with the objective of providing the highest quality of life/care for each resident. Maintain and implement the required nursing policy manual and ensure it is kept current with changes in regulations.
